What a long January it’s been, does anyone else agree? In fact, you haven’t read anything from me for almost a year and strangely enough, it doesn’t seem that long ago I sat down and told you all about my trip to Sydney. The less I type about 2020 the better, so lets pick up this year, 2021.
I really hope you are all doing ok and that January has been good to you or at least it’s been manageable. After this last year, I haven’t set my sights too high for 2021 given what’s going on in the world, but I’m trying to be optimistic about it.
For me, January has been a month full of growth in various aspects of my life. My work life (day to day job) is bearable but my design job (which I’ll elaborate on later) has been growing and getting slowly bigger as the weeks go on.
Let’s have a look at some highs from January so we can celebrate the small things that brought some joy and here’s to looking forward to February, the road to Spring, with more sun, longer days and new ideas.
If you didn’t know, I have a small design/stationery company called Obvious Prints – the name comes form Chrisobv (the obvious playing on my username, meaning the Obvious represents me, so Chris Prints)….it sounded cooler in my head BUT I won’t change it, I think it sounds fun. I’ve ran this little company since 2017 but It was only over the UK lockdown in 2020 that I was able to focus a lot of my time and energy into building this into something I wanted to take on full time. Fast-forward to January 2021, I took some time off to focus on some new projects, one being to fill my portfolio.
I think I may have found my groove with YouTube again, I managed to film 2 videos (not including my January Favourites at the bottom of this post) in between work and more work, I can’t tell you how much I love filming these videos, its so fun.
